I love most flower fields but in particularly lavender! there’s just something so magical, about a mass of purple haze on a summer’s day. I was determined to visit one and shoot some outfits. The closest lavender fields are about 2-3hrs aways which would have been a trek. One day, as I was walking my dog Rosie, we came across Howard nurseries’ own mini lavender field! They are a wholesale supplier and well known for their irises and dahlias. They are not open to the public, but Christine was very sweet and gave us permission to do a shoot.
Aside from the beautiful scent that hits you when you get close to the flowers, we could see loads of little busy bees bumbling away. It was quite risky bending among the shrubs with a short dress! I’m pretty sure you can see the paranoia on my face on some of the shots.
I was so happy to have stumbled on some lavender and on my door step too! My next mission is to find a sunflower field, if you know of any then please let me know.
I chose this beautiful floral bardot dress for the shoot and I have had so many compliments, every time I wear it! It’s still available on Asos.
